Sauna – the easiest way to detox

As a dark side of our modern, urban way of life, we are constantly exposed to harmful environmental elements, such as smog and chemicals, proven to mercilessly damage our overall health.  This makes it crucial to cleanse your body and get rid of the toxins stored in your system. One way to do this is by sweating. Both the sauna and the infrared cabin are at your service here: they make your body sweat and relax – while getting rid of the damaging build-up of toxins.

Methodology

The heat in both a sauna and an infrared cabin helps boost your metabolism. Viruses and toxin-laden cells are weaker so they tolerate heat poorly. While enjoying a sauna the body starts to heal and deep cleanse itself. This means that toxic chemicals start to leave your system. Dr. Edward Group at globalhealingcenter.org explains: ”toxins are stored at deeper levels of tissue throughout the body – in fat – and perspiration causes them to move up into the lower layers of skin to be released from your body as you sweat. Circulation also increases when you’re in the sauna and increased blood flow improves blood oxygenation”.

Did you know? According to research, infrared saunas have a more powerful cleansing effect than traditional Finnish saunas. The deep penetration of the infrared energy allows the cells to eliminate better.

Briefly about metabolism

If your metabolism happens to be slower than desired, you may use the sauna up to twice a day. Make effort to save time for using your home sauna in the morning and before bedtime for the best results.

If your metabolism is fast enough already,  try to use the sauna at least once or twice a week to enjoy its various benefits, and stick to using it in the evenings.

Finishing up

When finished, take a cold shower, but avoid using soaps, shampoos and conditioner right after using a sauna, since they can clog the now open and clean pores. Brush your skin with a brush or loofa, since they enhance the cleansing effect.

Remember: saunas are only one piece of the puzzle! Results are much better when they are part of an overall program. Pay attention to your diet, replace the minerals you lost through sweating, eat healthy, fresh, locally grown foods. Do your best to rest and sleep plenty, and exercise each day, and always remember to drink enough clean water! Let it all become part of your lifestyle and everyday routine!

Light Therapy Against Seasonal Depression

There are two types of people. There are the ones who by hearing the word „autumn” think about colourful leaves, tasty pumpkin, warm clothes, and being at home. Others associate autumn with gray cloudy weather, shorter days, uncomfortable and layered clothing, and the approaching frosty winter. If we prefer the latter one, we can easily suffer from seasonal depression. However, there is no need to worry; light therapy is one of the most efficient ways to overcome this.
